Religious tokens or Ramatanka or Temple Tokens etc.,
almost all the above mentioned names are pointing the same thing that is Temple
or Ramatanka.
So what is Ramatanka or Religious Tokens?

Actually most of the tokens are produced in 6th
7th & 8th century resembles with those days real
coins. Even today few of us will get confused whether it’s really a coin or
Ramatanka.
Most of the Ramatanka are produced in copper / Brass /
Bronze / Silver and Gold. Most of the tokens will carry Devanagari Script, even
in Punjabi, Bangali & Kannada.
Today fewer duplicate tokens are running with different
production dates. So you are willing to buy one be careful and its not going to
worth more if you buy a duplicate.
