Tipu Sultan – coins



Tipu Sultan ruled Mysore kingdom from 1772 – 1799 he is one of the pioneer in introducing new coinage. Tipu was born in the year of 1750 at Devanahalli, he was named after the saint Tipu Mastan Aulia he is also called as Tiger of Mysore.

He is a great leader in economy and management as well; Tipu introduced new coin denomination and new coin type as well. And it is valuable for Numismatics and really worth if your holding one.

Until 2009 Zimbabwean currency scored the World’s cheapest currency in the world. On 12th April 2009 Zimbabwean currency was suspended from the circulation currently country is using USD and South African currency.
