Tipu Sultan ruled
Mysore kingdom from 1772 – 1799 he is one of the pioneer in introducing new
coinage. Tipu was born in the year of 1750 at Devanahalli, he was named after
the saint Tipu Mastan Aulia he is also called as Tiger of Mysore.
He is a great leader
in economy and management as well; Tipu introduced new coin denomination and
new coin type as well. And it is valuable for Numismatics and really worth if your holding one.
